About Go Goodlife!
The idea to create a blog about the pursuit of the “good-life” sprung from countless conversations I’ve had with friends, family and acquaintances on what they consider important to them in their lives. It’s no surprise that I soon learned that living the “good-life” is defined much differently depending on who you talk to and their situation. Some measure life in terms of money and success, others tend to focus on family and personal relationships but I’ve often wondered whether many of us are simply chasing after someone else’s perceived good life or even the made-for-tv (MTV Cribs) definition of what living the good life is and ultimately feeling constantly unfulfilled. The aim of this blog is not to be like some cheesy late night infomercial on how to achieve your dreams through the power of positive thinking (and only 4 easy payments of $49.95). The purpose of my blog is to share ideas, stories, information and advice on a range of topics from my own life that I hope are helpful, interesting, inspirational and applicable in yours. The goal of gogoodlife.com is not to show you how to live the good life but to invite you to come along on my quest to achieve it for myself. Life is short, Make it good!
Around Go Goodlife!
The design of my blog site is meant to be simple to navigate and is themed to include items that represent the feeling you get when the weather is beautiful, the birds are chirping, the air is crisp and clean and it’s just you with your dog and a Frisbee. It’s a moment when life is just plain good. Speaking of dogs; you might be wondering, what is the deal with all of the dogs on the site? Well, it’s widely believed that pet ownership can improve your mental health and in most cases will add to your overall happiness in life. Dogs in particular have this knack for instantly lifting our spirits. That being said, the truth is I’m a self-confessed dog-lover and I thought it would be cute for pictures of dogs to represent different categories of my blog. I love most animals but dogs are my absolute favorite so my blog, my rules
There are 4 major categories of the site and those categories represent broad aspects of what I consider to be important to my life. My blog posts will typical fall under these categories and can be accessed by clicking on the large category buttons displayed just below the main menu.
